Sharks Are Born Swimming
Discovering and Pursuing What You Were Born For
“Before I formed you in the womb I knew you, before you were born I set you apart.” Jeremiah 1:5 (NIV)
Born to Move in Your Own Ocean
Sharks are born swimming. The moment they enter the world, they instinctively do what they were created to do move, explore, and survive in the vastness of the ocean. They don’t need lessons or external motivation. Their environment the ocean calls to what’s already inside of them.
You and I are no different. Each of us carries a divine blueprint, a God-given purpose that flows naturally when we align with who we were created to be. Yet so often, we try to excel in spaces that were never meant for us careers, relationships, or pursuits that don’t resonate with our true calling.
The Pool vs. The Ocean
A shark doesn’t thrive in a pool not because it’s weak, but because the pool is too small for its purpose. The same is true for you. When you settle for environments, opportunities, or paths that limit your growth, your potential becomes confined.
You might survive in the pool, but you won’t soar. You’ll make the bare minimum of progress, always feeling like there’s “more,” yet unsure where to find it. The truth is, you were never meant for small waters.
Discovering What You Were Born For.
When you discover what you were born for that passion, that purpose, that God-breathed gift everything changes. You begin to move differently. You no longer chase success; success begins to flow toward you. Effort turns into ease. Growth becomes natural.
Operating in your purpose doesn’t mean life will be without challenges even sharks face storms but it means you’re in the right waters, equipped for what you’re facing.
Step Into Your Ocean
Stop forcing yourself to swim in places you were never designed for. Let go of comparison, fear, and imitation. Step boldly into your ocean that space where your calling, your gifts, and your faith collide.
Because just like the shark, you were born swimming.
“You will never find fulfillment swimming in someone else’s pool. The ocean of your purpose was made for you dive in and dominate.”
