The Tap and the Source: Living from God’s Unlimited Supply

Have you ever stopped to think about how a simple tap works?

By itself, it’s just a hollow piece of metal dry, empty, and ordinary.

But once it’s connected to a water source, everything changes. Suddenly, that same tap becomes a channel of refreshment, pouring out what it receives from the source behind the wall.

That’s exactly how our lives are meant to function in relationship with God.

We were never created to be the source. We are the tap God is the supply.

Connected to the Source

When we connect our lives, our work, and our finances to God, something powerful happens.

We begin to live from an unlimited flow.

Whenever there’s a need, we open the tap through faith, prayer, and obedience and His provision flows.

Just as water doesn’t depend on the tap but on the reservoir behind it, our ability to give, to love, to live in peace, or to prosper doesn’t come from our own effort. It comes from staying connected to the Source.

Never Running Dry

When your bank account, your business, and your plans are centered on God, you stop living from scarcity and start living from sufficiency.

You don’t panic when things seem dry, because you know your supply isn’t in the tap — it’s in the Source.

And this truth extends beyond finances.

It’s about peace when life feels chaotic.

It’s about love when people disappoint you.

It’s about strength when you feel empty.

The Source never runs out

Stay Connected

God’s invitation is simple: Stay connected.

When you trust Him, obey Him, and keep your heart open, He releases what’s needed at the right time  just like water flowing when the tap turns.

You become a vessel through which His goodness flows into every area of life.

So, stay connected. Don’t worry about how much is left in the “pipe.”

Keep your faith anchored in the One who never runs dry.

Scripture of Reflection

“And my God will meet all your needs according to the riches of his glory in Christ Jesus.”

Philippians 4:19 (NIV)

Final Thought

You were never meant to be the source just the tap.

Let the Source flow through you, and you’ll never run dry.
